Answer 1 :
try the natural history museum
Answer 2 :
Check with the Nature Centers of the Metro Parks system that are near you. They might have some owls that you can work with. If not, I'm sure they'd like to have you volunteer to help them with other things.
Answer 3 :
The Lake Metroparks Wildlife Center rehabilitates owls and other wildlife. You'll have to check to see if they have volunteers. If they do have volunteers, they may not let you work with the animals for liability reasons. However, the experience might give you an insight in how you might be able to work with owls and other birds in the future. http://www.lakemetroparks.com/parks/facilities/wildlife.shtml Have you ever thought about joining birding groups? Most birders love owls. BOL!

The Lake Erie Nature & Science Center in Bay Village has a wildlife rehabilitation program. When we visited there a few years ago, there was an owl that they were treating. I seem to recall that they had young people working as volunteers, but I don't know if that is still the case and, if so, what the age limit is. Just found this blurb on their website (www.lensc.org): Animal Care Volunteers Volunteers ages 16 and up needed to assist our Wildlife Department with animal care. Also looking for people with veterinary education to support rehab. I would still recommend contacting them, however, as perhaps there is another way in which you can help until you are old enough to become an animal care volunteer. Good luck!
